Mainland offers investors an end-to-end funds management platform that provides a range of tailored investment options. These include industrial, office, regional and large format retail funds. The Core Fund strategies aiming to deliver higher returns within a risk adjusted framework. Investors are provided with the highest level of governance, with nationally recognised external parties providing trustee, audit, accountancy, and legal services. The in-house team brings global experience to all aspects of the investments lifecycle.

Due to recent growth, the need has arisen for an experienced Property Analyst to join the team.

 

About the role

Given the unique nature of the Mainland Capital's business, the Analyst role may see the successful candidate work across a range of duties that include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Perform financial analysis of acquisitions and development opportunities through financial modeling, analysis of cash flows and application of valuation principles using Excel software
  • Assist with due diligence processes associated with acquisitions by performing document control, reading lease abstracts, verifying projections or other duties as assigned. Assist in the preparation of internal and external investment reports including investment deal summaries and Investment Committee reports, with responsibility for written and graphic requirements
  • Participate in asset management for existing properties including market research, leasing, property sales and administration of investor requirements. Duties may include reviewing leases, property financial statements or determining feasibility analysis, entitlement processes, financing, design, contract negotiation, tendering, and construction management
  • Source, maintain, and update sales and lease comparable databases
  • Responsible for property and sector analysis for New Zealand and wider markets

 

About you

To be successful in the role you will ideally possess:

  • 3-5 years' experience as a Property or Fund Analyst, Assistant Valuer or Valuer, real estate consultant or advisor
  • Design in Commerce/Finance/Real Estate or other relevant discipline
  • Strong Analytical skills including Excel
  • Financial modelling capability
  • Proficient in Word and PWP (report writing and board presentation)
