Mainland Capital has built a dynamic team of best-in-class professionals with national and international experience across the funds management and property investment industries. 

Ben Bridge has over 25 years of experience in a variety of commercial property-related disciplines in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. His professional background includes funds management and asset management, along with significant transactional experience with acquisitions and divestments exceeding $5 billion. Ben is experienced in the establishment and management of single and multi-asset property funds both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

In 2010 Mainland Capital Investment Management was established in which Ben is a founding principal and executive director. Ben’s property expertise and career history sees him well placed to lead Mainland's Fund Management business along with a particular focus on opportunistic and value-add investment strategies.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Valuation and Property Management) from Lincoln University, a Bachelor of Arts (Politics) from Canterbury University, and a postgraduate diploma in Investment Property (DIP IPF) from the City of London Business School and the University of Cambridge (UK). He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and the Property Council of New Zealand.

Tim Jones has over 25 years of experience in a variety of commercial property-related disciplines in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. His experience includes property finance, equity analysis, valuation and transaction management culminating in his appointment as Head of UK Lending for Morgan Stanley's European Real Estate Finance Group in 2008. He has extensive experience in the structuring and financing of large-scale commercial property transactions and has been involved in over $6 billion of property deals over his career.

Tim returned to New Zealand in 2010 to establish Mainland Capital as a principal and executive director. Tim's transactional experience sees him well-placed to lead Mainland's acquisition and financing activities. He is involved in all aspects of Mainland's funds management and advisory activities, with a focus on due diligence and risk analysis, financing strategies for both debt and equity and transaction management.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Valuation and Property Management from Lincoln University, is a registered representative of the Securities and Futures Authority (UK), and is a member of the
New Zealand Institute of Directors and Property Council of New Zealand.

Blair is responsible for delivering Mainland’s Value Add and Opportunistic strategies. His focus is on identifying off-market opportunities and implementing risk-adjusted business plans to deliver out-performance. He is also responsible for nationwide acquisitions for both internal fund management clients and capital growth funds.

Blair has worked for 25 years in the New Zealand property market and prior to Mainland Capital he was Development Manager at Ngāi Tahu Property, Development Manager at New Urban Group, and South Island Regional Business Manager at The Property Group. He brings broad industry contacts and has successfully identified and led the development of a number of commercial, industrial and residential projects including Tawhiri a 32-hectare industrial subdivision located in Rolleston and the $80 million Health Research and Education Facility (Manawa) located in the Health Precinct, Christchurch.

Anna works within Mainland Capital’s Growth Funds as a Development Manager, responsible for value added and opportunistic business plans. These include the delivery of commercial subdivisions, developments, asset repositioning, and leasing strategies.

 Anna brings extensive experience and commercial networks to her role. She has over 20 years of experience in commercial development and asset management, having worked both in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Prior to joining Mainland, Anna worked at Goodman Property Trust as a Portfolio Manager where she had full responsibility for all aspects of lease negotiations, capital expenditure management, project/development delivery and annual portfolio revaluations.

Anna completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Valuation and Property Management) from Lincoln University in 2001.

Andrew Barclay is the Fund Manager for Mainland Capital’s property funds and private client portfolios. Andrew works with our boards and investment committees, setting fund strategies, overseeing business plan delivery and working with Directors on capital and financing strategies.

Andrew has over 20 years of experience in the commercial property sector having worked in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. He commenced his career with Colliers International, where he qualified as a Registered Valuer. He has undertaken management roles with Jones Lang LaSalle, as part of the UK’s largest shopping centre management team and with Goodman Property Group in Melbourne, where he managed industrial and suburban office developments. Prior to joining Mainland, Andrew was an Associate Director with Colliers International where he was involved in the development and management of a number of commercial properties throughout the South Island.

Chris joined Mainland in 2023 to work on capital strategies, acquisitions, and financing. Chris has a track record of overseeing property transactions worth over $700m, both in the UK and New Zealand. His experience covers a wide range of sectors including land subdivisions, residential and commercial development and investment, student accommodation, healthcare, hospitality, cash flow lending and bridging/mezzanine finance. Prior to joining Mainland, Chris worked for the Bank of New Zealand within the Corporate and Institutional Finance Team as a Client Director.

Chris holds a first-class honours degree from Edinburgh Napier University and relevant certifications in Investment Management, Banking and Sustainable Finance.

Grace joined Mainland in 2020 and is responsible for Investor Relations and Marketing. She manages the interface between Mainland and its clients and is responsible for the onboarding of investors along with overseeing the secondary market for our property funds. Grace project manages fundraises and works closely with executive directors to present investment opportunities in Mainland Capital funds to new and existing investors.

Grace develops and executes marketing strategies for Mainland. She is responsible for the company’s brand and manages all media publications. Grace holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canterbury, with majors in Management and Human Resources.

Nick joined Mainland Capital as a Development Manager in 2024 and is responsible for the management and delivery of value-add and opportunistic business plans. These include healthcare developments, commercial and industrial projects, along with capital expenditure within existing funds.

Nick brings a significant track record of 15 years of delivering project outcomes for clients. He has been the driving force behind a number of award-winning Christchurch commercial construction projects such as the Japanese Consulate Building and the unique Marian College Development in Papanui.  Prior to joining Mainland Capital, Nick worked as a Senior Project Manager for TSA Riley (formerly Cequent Projects) for six years where he was responsible for the end-to-end management of a diverse range of large commercial, industrial and education new build projects, civil infrastructure projects and the refurbishment and strengthening of multi-storey commercial buildings in the Christchurch CBD. Prior to TSA Riley, Nick worked as a Senior Property Consultant for The Property Group, where his focus was on project delivery, property acquisition and disposal and feasibility assessments.

Nick has a diploma in engineering and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP USA).

Nick Radburn

Rebecca is a qualified lawyer and has 25 years' experience working in legal, commercial and investment compliance roles at leading New Zealand organisations. She is experienced in the establishment and management of investment funds, including unit trusts, and this experience sees her well placed to manage MCIM's legal, compliance and regulatory obligations.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury and a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (endorsement in personal financial planning) from Massey University. Rebecca is a member or the New Zealand Institute of Directors and holds governance roles at a number of several organisations.

Campbell is an Asset Manager for Mainland Capital’s commercial property funds. With a particular focus on industrial asset management, Campbell is responsible for executing business plans and identifying opportunities to enhance values within our funds. He maintains strong relationships with our tenants and works with the due diligence team on new acquisitions.

Prior to joining Mainland Capital, Campbell worked for Colliers International and Environment Canterbury. In his most recent role at Colliers International, his focus was on lease negotiations, capital expenditure projects, and financial forecasting. He worked with various clients to ensure prudent ongoing management of their industrial, office and retail properties.

Campbell holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Lincoln University, majoring in Valuation and Property Management, and also holds a Salespersons License with the REAA

Justine brings a wealth of local and international experience to Mainland Capital. She is a qualified management accountant and has over 20 years of financial services experience, primarily in investment banking and treasury.

Justine has worked for a number of financial institutions in New Zealand, the UK and Ireland, including large financial entities such as Merrill Lynch and Westpac. Her experience includes 8 years working for local and international corporates in their Treasury and Accounting divisions.

Justine holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Business Administration) from the University of Canterbury and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Mike works as a Financial Accountant and Analyst at Mainland. He is responsible for producing the financial budgeting and reporting of Mainland’s Growth Funds. This includes real-time internal reporting and working with the development team to track costs and provide reconciliations and budgets. Mike also provides financial forecasts to track and predict the performance of Mainland’s Core Funds.

Prior to joining Mainland, Mike began his career working for a public practice located in Christchurch. He then worked in the United Kingdom as a financial accountant in the student accommodation industry along with contract work for the UK government.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Otago University, majoring in Accounting and Finance. He is a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).

As an analyst at Mainland, Hannah offers financial modelling, research and analytical support across all areas of the business. Hannah’s primary focus is on financial projections and project feasibility for acquisition, development and leasing.

Prior to joining Mainland Hannah worked at Colliers International as part of the Valuation & Advisory team and qualified as a Registered Valuer. Her experience covers a wide variety of sectors including childcare and visitor accommodation assets along with land development and industrial property.

Hannah graduated in 2020 from Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Land and Property Management.

Lucy Spinelli has a background in the legal and property industries, both in New Zealand and Argentina. Having previously worked in a property management role with Colliers International, Lucy joined our Finance Team in 2019 and carries out accountancy and administrative services for the fund management and operational divisions of Mainland Capital.

Pieta works within our compliance function, provides executive support for Mainland Capital and manages the day-to-day running of our office. As the client coordinator, she is responsible for the management of internal and external clients, coordination of meetings and the organisation of team travel.

She works closely with all Mainland Capital staff, providing administrative services to the accounting, compliance, and investor relations teams. 

Pieta has completed her tertiary qualifications at the University of Canterbury, studying a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in psychology and sociology.

David is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and has over 30 years of senior executive, Chief Financial Officer and governance experience, principally in the property and finance industries. In recent years, he has provided business consultancy services and governance advice to a number of private companies and family offices.

David is currently Chairman of Mutual Credit Finance Limited, a director of Brunner Capital Limited and chair of several private company advisory boards.
